Howdy there everyone..

Roboto & I have decided to make a change for the downloading. Now you no longer have to be in Premium to download themes. You don't have to make any posts, and you don't even have to be registered!

We figured the lack of posts was coming from the fact that no one even wanted to try to make 20 posts to get upgraded to Premium (unless of course that person was desperate for the 1.4 themes here!), so now we are going back to being completely free, at the moment.

If I see an extreme drop in logins and posting, like no one ever logging in or ever posting, I might make a little change, but right now this is how it is.

I'm sure this'll make a lot of people happy, at the moment.

Oh, and I updated the custom profile field: MyBB Version. So now everyone can go update their field and choose the correct version of MyBB they're on. I noticed I hadn't added several versions to if for a while!

Let me also note before I finish that Premium still exists, as the moment. Other than it being a change with a bolded username, being able to change your usertitle and stuff like that, there's not much difference between Premium and Registered. At 56 posts you'll be automatically upgraded to Premium right now. What do you think I should do with Premium, [name]? Keep it for now or get rid of it?

Good to hear about this change, I am sure users with less than 25 posts will really appreciate this change. About the user title, I've no problem with that, from me you have green signal to do anything you like.

P.S I didn't make posts to download themes

, I guess I downloaded only one theme n haven't used it till now.

If you've got a better idea, I'm willing to hear it.

As I said, if this doesn't work out, I'll install the Minimum posts to download attachments and give you some work to do -- deleting spam.

Ah, I'm glad you decided to go with my suggestion.
I'm uncertain if it will help the situation any, but I think the requirement was just too high, the way we had it before.

You should keep it my friend its nice, but it should have some better features i mean over 56 posts to be premium thats not right? those who donate should be premium if you thet don't got a rank yet

Hmm you will get a problem eventually! You need some activity's going on to make people post. Like competitions for free theme design or something. Putting the download requirements down to those permissions will cause you some trouble as people like it easy. Only people who want to join in would join but their needs to be activity to motivate those people

Well, if there is one thing I hate, it's registering on a website to do only one thing. I guess lots of guests will be glad you reverted.
