RE: MyBB vs Vbulletin
LOL yeah. I think this have been discussed before somewhere on the forum. Anyway, we can easily say that mybb is the best 'free' forum software. But still, Vbulletin is at the top with a few more features. Anyway, Mybb is a fast developing software and it will probably catch up with vbulletin soon. And that's what we all hope :)

RE: MyBB vs Vbulletin
Still have quite a bit to test in MyBB, but I have to say, it is a pretty good package for free software. Have tried out vBulletin before, and really liked it too. Some great mods out there for vB, but can't seem to find many for MyBB...

Yeah thats the only problem with MyBB 1.4.

It's amazing free forum software but the current amount of mods is rather limited compared to other forum software's but because MyBB is so good, there will be loads of mods for it as time goes on :D

RE: MyBB vs Vbulletin
MyBB hand's down. MyBB is just completely better in all ways than vBulletin, the main reason? It's free! vBulletin is too over-rated in my opinion, I'm slowly going off it, I sold my license for it some time ago aswell..

RE: MyBB vs Vbulletin
Free doesn't always mean better. vBulletin is probably the top forum software around - paid and free. Is it really overrated? It went past my expectations when I first started using it. I tried using MyBB - wasn't impressed. No mods, no SEO programs, and well, no vBulletin :P

RE: MyBB vs Vbulletin
I won't ever use vbulletin, so I can't really make a comparison, but I did want to make a comment on something said that seemed a bit off:

Uh, no mods? Are you sure it was mybb you tried and didn't like? There are a bunch of mods for mybb. True, there are less everytime the developers throw a new version at us, but they quickly get updated.

RE: MyBB vs Vbulletin
That could have been ages ago.

Either way MyBB 1.4 is a massive improvement from MyBB 1.2 and now its my preferred software.

RE: MyBB vs Vbulletin
Yeah MyBB 1.4 is very good in itself, when you get it working perfectly.

RE: MyBB vs Vbulletin
Vb is good, for a paid software, but personally I don't like it. MyBB 1.4 is great.
