i am new to this mybb but dnt know how to install a theme
as i import it but it doesn't look like the teme and i do not know how to upload the images to the image folder on my server can someoen please help me
What do you mean you don't know how to upload the images? If you uploaded the folders for mybb itself, then you do know how. All you need to do is read the readme file that came with the theme, which will tell you if you need to upload the entire images folder to either the forum root or within the forum images folder. Once you do this, your new theme should look the way it should.
ye but it won't let me upload the images to the image directory on my FTP for some reason i dnt know why coz they images don't uload n i cnt upload the entire folder it only lets me do 1 file at a time
If that's the case, there is very little we can do to help you. Obviously there is a problem with either your host or the ftp program you're using, since I can't think of any reason why you can't upload the whole folder at once.
I downloaded a trial version of SmartFTP, because like you, I felt clueless. It has easy vid tutorials and moves all the files at once.
You want to open the zipped folder on your comp, the open the images folder and then you can just select the whole lot of files and it transports them for you. You leave the little xml file on your comp, and that xml file gets imported to the Theme Import section on the Mybb board.
