It would be cool if MybbThemes could get their own IRC, or a shoutbox, or a chatroom. I know Mybbthemes has a lot of mods installed, so I am not asking for another mod to be installed. But, another means of chat for active MybbThemes members would be great!

I'm not sure it's quite a good idea. It would bring down the number of posts we get, because most people would go to the chat room, chats are fun when your in one, but posts last a lifetime

Yeah, but the people who will be using it the most would be the active members (Like us), who will post regardless.
In PL boards, very popular is chat-thread in Off-Topic, Hyde-Park etc. boards. The name of this thread is "Pogaduszki" (in English version - "Talkie-Talkie"). In this thread, users can speak about any subjects. In this board, one can create such thread.
Well there is the 'Lounge', similar to that forum you have described
So, one of users (like killswitch
) can create such chat-thread.

Chat rooms don't necessarily take away from the posts, since most of the time if a chat isn't planned, someone will go in there, find no one else in there and leave. They are good for when you want to get your members together for an hour so they can have a real time discussion...and it can be a lot of fun.
Judel you make a good point, whether or not a chat room is a good idea, is an argument that can't be won.
You can come up with enough to equally support both sides. It's simply a matter of opinion.
I agree, chats are often fun, and it's easier to have a discussion with multiple people, but some(I've seen on other forums), get obsessed with the whole chat concept, and rarely to never post on the forum.
I'm not saying everyone does that, but some do, and that would take away from posting.
However as Wiz is the admin, and ultimately makes the decision, let's see what she has to say.
