Judel is right, this is not an old thread, and yes, the offending post has been deleted because it was spam anyway.

I don't know about you, but a thread that hasn't had any activity for over a month is considered old in my book.

I think we need to close threads like this after the posting for them has stopped, to prevent spammers, like the one who posted here. (By the way, I didn't mean close every thread, just the important ones)

If I have no good reason to close them, I ain't gonna close them.

Mmkay, just thought I'd through the idea out in the open.

LOL...So? Two posts a month apart? People join this forum all the time. They do a search, find something interesting, how can they be penalized just because the last post was a month ago? We're not talking about a thread that hasn't been posted in for over a year. Besides, SPAM can (and do) happen in brand new threads. The only threads that we should be this strict over are Welcome threads that haven't had a post in over a month. I do consider those dead threads.

And like FFW said, if she doesn't see a need to close a thread, she won't!

On most forums I'm a member of, you get banned if you post a month+ later than the last post.

Yeah, well, some forums are run by idiots. LOL...they let the power go to their head. I've only banned one member on my site, and that's because she got mad and cursed at me.

I've banned a few here, (not counting the ones on account suspension) because they've continually broke the rules one way or another, whether it be profanity or spamming.
