This is a smiley contest to make our own unique, custom smiley pack for the forum -- from the members!

Anyone can join in the contest, and submit their smiley. Smilies must be made by you and not anyone else or a generator.

Smilies should be preferably round, 20x20 pixels, general color should be yellow, unless another color is needed.
The smilies made must also have a transparent background, so they can fit on the themes.
Animated smilies are also accepted.

You can submit any number of smilies into the contest, not only one. They will be judged by judges we have selected, and the ones accepted will be used on the forum.

It's up to you guys to create the smilies you want, since once this contest is complete, the smilies that have been accepted will replace the ones currently used here, and the IPB smilies won't be used anymore!

Please take some time on these smileys, and don't submit the ones you haven't taken time on or haven't put much effort into. We want to be able to use most of the smileys submitted. :yes:

Not much participation so far. Everyone can contribute, there's even a function in Microsoft Paint to set the image size. You will have some troubles with the transparency though. Here's my first try at a smilie for this competition. Still looking for a style to go with, comments are very much appreciated!

Although there hasn't been an overwhelming response yet, I've made some more icons. All have got shadow (except the thumbs I think) but this can be removed with 1 click. As always, comments are appreciated. Perhaps I can try several styles if this one isn't appealing to you.

This being, because smilies are supposed to be transparent, and need more emotion then what you have made.

It's a great start, just read up on some tutorials or take a look at other smiley sets, keep trying, and be creative, they don't have to follow the Sad, happy, tongue, etc formula

We do need those smilies as well, Roboto. Remember, this user created set will replace the current ones, so we need the basic ones as well.

Gruzz, I like the concept, but something about them isn't striking me right. I can't exactly put my finger on it though, that's the problem. Maybe if I think about it a bit more.

You can post them in any reply, don't need to edit the post.. Unless you want to, that is.

Well, it's too bad I can't do graphics at all, or I would try to come up with something. I have a hard enough time coming up with headers for my themes. LOL..good luck to all who enter!

Those are some cool smilies, but they look too close to the MyBBB and vB smiley sets, make something original, and you may just win
