When I wanted to add more buttons & icons next to "Search, Member List, Calendar & Help" at the top of the forums index, I went to ACP -> Modify templates -> Header & added them.

I'd like to know from where I could do the same to the portal page since few buttons are missing, as I can't find the header part for portal. Thx.

If you edit the header template, and add the buttons / links at the top, it will show up on the top of every page. Unless you added them to a different template than header, I don't see how they could be missing on the portal "header" since it is all one header.

Do you have a screenshot, or preview ?

You're right, it's one header for both the portal & the forums index; I just had to enter "{$mybb->settings['bburl']}/{$theme['imgdir']}" part next to "images/toplinks/whatever_icon.gif" to indicate the newly added icons' path. Thanks for your input, ma'am.
