So what is your favorite software for making themes?
Over the years I have used just about all the various web design software out there and as I get older and wiser I have found that using on both my Windows and Linux boxes NVU, The GIMP or GimpShop, Ted Notepad, Scribus, OpenOffice, Abiword, 7-zip, FileZilla, Irfranview....., the combination of those makes it super easy to create sites and scripts in a flash as well as package and release them. And the best thing is all of them are free and often better than the costly counterparts.
Also it is wise to set up your own webserver on your comp using a script like Xampp/Lampp or EasyPHP.., that way you can run an offline forum for
development purposes.
